We will start with a FREE full lawn evaluation and provide you a recommended plan based on that evaluation. With your input and concerns, we then put a plan in action. You are an integral part of this plan and throughout the season, we will work together to make sure that you are satisfied and your lawn is healthier. GrassRoots Lawn Service stays on top of all the new requirements and keeps equipment well-tuned. Our technicians are constantly educated in order to meet the highest quality requirements.
Large residential and commercial mowing
We accept residential and commercial mowing customers only if their lawns are being treated either by GrassRoots Lawn Service or another licensed company. We do this so our equipment does not transfer untreated lawn problems to our current customers.
Overseeding
Overseeding is the spreading of seed and is typically done in conjunction with aeration. This is done for many benefits, such as allowing new grasses to replenish the older lawn and to alleviate some of the diseases and insect problems caused by hot, dry summer days.
Weed Control
This is the second application of the season and usually done April through May, when the dandelions start popping. It is our only liquid application. It helps control a variety of weeds such as dandelions, clover, etc. It is important to remember that any liquid application only kills the weeds it touches and weeds do emerge throughout the year. If a customer is on our basic plan, our technicians do spot spray for weeds, FREE of charge, while doing the other applications.
Mulching and Edging
We do offer bed prep, edging, and mulching. Our technicians meet with customers on the job site to discuss ideas, products, and costs.
Aeration
Aeration is the removal of small 2”-3” plugs in the soil/grass that will benefit the lawn by reducing water runoff and puddles, reduce soil compaction, enhance thatch breakdown, and ease drought/heat stress.
Insecticide, Grub Control and Prevention
This application is normally done in June. It is a pelletized preventative grub application that remains on the lawn for approximately 8-10 weeks and slowly works its way into the lawn's soil to prevent grubs from taking hold.
Snow Removal Services
GrassRoots Lawn Service does snow removal for customers, but we only take on a limited amount so we can get to them in a timely manner.
